Press Release: Unclaimed Nigerian corpse in India

Tracing the antecedents of Antrighe, a Nigerian citizen who had died at GMCH 32 on April 10, has become a cause of concern for the Mohali police. Antrighe had come to visit his friend, Odomoses, residing in Phase X here. He fell ill on April 10 and was rushed to GMCH in Sector 32, Chandigarh, where he died. In a fresh attempt to ascertain his antecedents, the Mohali Police have written to the High Commissioner of the Nigerian Embassy stating that his friend Odomoses did not turn up after admitting him to the hospital. The body is lying in the mortuary of the hospital and its condition was deteriorating. The embassy has been requested for information about the kith and kin of the deceased.
