The woman sustained injuries to her back and arms in the encounter. Her husband claimed injury to one of his fingers was a result of his effort to ward off the blow from the cleaver. He showed officers cut marks in his underwear which he attributed to his wife's unsuccessful attempt in cutting off his manhood.

Names of the couple were not available to Masterweb correspondent at the time of this report. The police collected both the cleaver and underwear as possible evidence.
