Nigeria Continues to Rob us of Our Best By Chief Okereke Chukwu ( Monday, July 21, 2008 )
Nigerian’s government persecution of the Igbos continues unabated. They either kill, maim, or massacre them. Those that they cannot kill, they hound out of Nigeria. A good example is Ms. Janet Chibo Eke, a loyal and dedicated worker of MASSOB. Having graduated from The Federal University of Uyo, with flying colors, she continues to be a grassroots mobilizer and a dedicated inspiration for the Igbo youths. After being arrested, harassed and tortured on three occasions by Nigerian government and its apparatchiks, Ms. Eke was forced, in July 2007, to escape from Nigeria to United States for fear of her life. Torn from her people and family, how long can she endure this? And we ask why? Does right of self determination have any place in Nigeria? Please, send your protests to the Nigerian Police Headquarters, Abuja, and ask the Inspector General of Police to lift the Warrant of Arrest from Ms. Eke. Indeed, we shall overcome, one day
