Our founder has carefully reviewed the composition and has accepted it as a noble piece of art by a rising African star. The poem will be posted in our poetry section in due course.

Ogene is an important piece of indispensable instrument in African music. Information was disseminated in much of Africa in the past with ogene. The town or village crier went from one location to another beating the ogene and relaying message to the people. Everyone would pay attention at the sound of the ogene to listen to the message of the crier which served them as our modern radio broadcasting.

Stanley's email read as follows; "The sun was at its beam forcing me to branch by the cafe, where I was surfing the web and ran into two beautiful poems by you Sir. The poems Africa Diaspora and Child Soldiers caught my attention as they are wonderful poems Sir. I am happy that at last the Igbo community and Nigeria in general have woke up to continue and sustain their literary lead in the world. For sometime now Igbos have not been able to produce writers like Chinua Achebe and host of others including my very own favourite Christopher Okigbo. Seeing your poems sing a song of new hope for me ."

OGENE

The thunder comes down,
Into a melted crafted iron ,
That gives sound of command,
Either of gathering or festivity to the Ozo's.

All have gathered again,
Cos Chief Ozo Okereke has brought forth new hope,
A song to the glory of the Easterners;
Now we can play and dance again,
For Ozo Okereke is in town.

Okigbo gone far away we could hardly hear him again;
Chinua on his stagnant chair;
What kind of ARU?
But mourning we have stopped,
For here cometh a new Anya Umu Igbo.

The ogene has called the presence of Okereke.

- "Let the guns implode, the wooden barrels decompose to fertilize a vibrant agriculture, and the metallic barrels and structures melted for industrialization. Let the ensuing abundance fill up the greedy and the rest of society for the complete healing of Africa."

In heart rhythms of harvest hope, sacred songs beckoned branches of African lineage to bountifully blossom. *A virtuous rainbow of faithful living light is sprouting from seed bearing fruits of cultural wisdom. Through focalizing prisms of pure intent comprehensive strategies for sustainable community development planning are being revealed. Ecologically redemptive progressions of social and environmental justice will be empowered by the harvest. These tree ripe fruits will satisfy impoverished souls, energize educational paradigm shifts, and inspire mass media to exercise culturally transformative powers of truth and principles of P.E.A.C.E.* Love will heal ecosystems and nations of our World Rainbow Community.

Our multi-cultural renaissance of respect, harmony and understanding is synergizing P.E.A.C.E. in the epicenter of America’s heartland. Home to the famous Black Holocaust Museum, Kothi Dance Company and Rainbow Vision Council Staff*, Milwaukee, which means “gathering place by the water”, has since 1983 provided a beautiful site on the southwestern shore of the Great Lakes for a premier African World Festival to grow. This summer of ‘06, Festivities*, in concert with the opening of “Discovery World” and the National Convention of Americans for the Arts, will serve as truly inspirational catalysts. Milwaukee is also home to Chief Charles O. Okereke, composer of “God Bless Africa”, an African Union award-winning anthem. Millions worldwide who appreciate his Africa master website will have opportunity to share in the Harvest Celebration of P.E.A.C.E.*

Just south along the lakeshore, the legendary talk show host, Oprah Winfrey’s “Angel Network Africa Grants” will amongst other blessings, provide funding for after school life skills training and nurturing for orphans and children in response to the HIV/AIDS crisis in South Africa."
